Sandra Kay (Long) Rose, 72, of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away January 11, 2021. Sandy was born June 22, 1948 to the late Lowell (Ed) and Evelyn Long.
Sandy is survived by her devoted husband of 39 years, Ken Rose, brothers Steve (Sharon) Long and Mark (Barb) Long, brothers-in-law Mike Rose and Danny Rose, nephews Scott (Julie) Long, Alex (Melissa) Long and Chris (Mariah) Long, niece Jennifer (Jay) Weybright and dear friend and cousin, Sharon Ennis. Sandy is also survived by her beloved pup, Benji.
She graduated from Miamisburg high school and enjoyed a 47-year career at Avery Dennison. Since her retirement in 2013, she and Ken enjoyed traveling the globe together and taking long motorcycle rides on their Trike.
Sandy generously volunteered much of her time at SouthBrook church, Brigid’s Path, Bogg Ministries and Cancer Hope.
She was the true matriarch of the family and the glue that held it together. She connected everyone through family gatherings, her annual Thanksgiving Day celebration, birthdays and pool parties.
She touched so many lives with her generous and caring heart. Her joy was infectious and she had the unique ability to make everyone around her feel welcome and loved.
To know Sandy was to love her.
A private memorial service will be held with a public celebration of life service later in the year.
Donations can be made online at Brigid’s Path and Bogg Ministries. Donations can be made to Cancer Hope by sending a check payable to SouthBrook Christian Church with Cancer Hope in the memo field.
