Phyllis Ann Shockley, 76, of Miamisburg, Ohio was called home by the Lord on Saturday January 25, 2025. Phyllis was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on October 2, 1948. She is preceded in death by her parents Claude and  Bessie Salyer, beloved kids Rose Salyer, Kevin Shockley and David Shockley,  grandson Hayden Shockley, siblings Gary Salyer and  Norma Salyer and sister-in-law Martha Leis.

She is survived by the father of her kids, Gary Shockley, her siblings, Billy (Linda) Salyer, Jimmy Salyer, Gaye Wright (Mark Coffield) and Larry Salyer, many nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews, great-great nieces/nephews and many friends.

Phyllis was a graduate of Miamisburg High School, a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a caregiver to many by trade and also by heart. Nothing meant more to her than her kids and her family. Family holidays and get-togethers will not be the same without her presence, love of life, dancing and treasured cooking. She took pride in everything she did. Her home won Miamisburg City’s Beautification Award more than once. She also loved to cross stitch and has many framed completions hanging in her home that are now family treasures.

Visitation will be held Thursday at Brough funeral home from 11 AM to 12 noon. Funeral service at 12 noon. Interment to follow at Hill grove Cemetery.

This will be a combined service with her daughter Rose Salyer who passed away on January 13, 2025.
